Updates!!28/9/08~ My younger brother's birthday!
It was F1 grand prix on tv, so it was pretty noisy celebration i guess =))
This year's birthday i was bit nicer? haha.. i bought the vegetarian cake
from Bukit Batok's cake shop, EMI CAKES. Its THE place to go if my family
wanted to buy a vegetarian cake. Ha.. So yea.. went over after mugging
at mac to buy it. Luckily, there was two flavours, two cakes left. haha..
One chocolate, one mocha flavour. So yea. bought the mocha one.. cause
it was smaller, as its only just a small celebration.
Back at home, cut the cake, and passed bro the present that i had bought and
prepared back in august. Its great, to witness my younger brother turn 20
that day. More responsibilities? Can just felt what he felt that day. This
birthday is a birthday, but it does not just mean u are getting older and that
day is celebrated. Everyone around you is growing older too.
Everyone, i am refering to my parents, and my grandma and everyone in the
family. And as he enters the 20s club, there is definitely added responsibilities
and expectations place on him, just like i had. It doesn't feel apparent that these
are around, when u are in the comfort of the home, but IT IS around.
That being the fact, we can't change it, we can only work on those things that
we can do better in. Although bro and I very much wants to go out into the
"reality"(Work life) to earn our living right now. We have talked about it, many
many times about this issue. But i guess i tried to do my part as a brother in
knocking some sense into what he is thinking down the years about this whole thing.
i guess, we know our role right now, and we are willing to work hard for our better
future. Its an investment and a journey of our life. Thats why we gotta thoroughly
enjoy this whole process. These last few years of school life.
"Don't put pressure one me ar!" ~Thats wat my bro sometime tell me whenever i
am not doing well in studies or life.. and yea.. i unds why he feels that way.
I think our concensus is pretty much the same, we do not want our parents to work
all their life, retire younger and go around the world! Thats wat my folks love to do,
backpacking, and traveling. (and thats why my bro and me are pretty adventurous
ppl. traveling wise.)
Woa, so much about wat we are thinking. ha.. these are the pictures taken that day
and of course some other photos of my YVIP'08- attachment- chao pia week!
haha:
Bro with his bday presse! (Ps. Act cute buay cute.. )
Bro's bday cake!!
Do you guys tried the food in this restaurant before?Coz the Tv on the class wall of the shop is simply mouth watering.
SizZZzzzz.. The noise created when doing tepanyaki!
Man.. gonna try it one of these days. . .really good publicity!!
AWWA at Ang Mo Kio. I thought it was a really kampong style VWO. haha..
Very nice staff and people over there too! Great programmes too!
Can you guys see what's written on these signs? Yes see Mr. KFC and u can see "No Pets Allowed".. Look at the sign at the right side. It says, "This restaurant is run by Deaf Crew. When you make your purchase, please refer to the menucard and point your order. Thank you."
That's an example of social-inclusion folks!!
When i went to place my order, the cashier tried to greet me with a muffled "Hello".
From that, I know she is part of the deaf crew. So i pointed to the card. And decided to
make things little difficult for her. I wanted to change the whipped potato to cheese-fries.
So i pointed to the cheese fries. And after 1-2 second of hesistating, she nodded her
head with vigour and punched in the orders to the cash box. Then appeared my
total sum that i have to pay. Hey, its right! I was feeling appaled and certainly
happy. That was a short moment in my life where i just felt really warm.
For those that are working hard for their exams now, jia you yea!! =D Never ever give up people!! =D
For those people out there that are feeling tired of life and is just feeling really -ve,
dun give up too. Thats because u have so much things that u dun understand in life still..
