Post Taiwan Post
Post-Taiwan trip was pretty much like re-cupertaion period for me.. I had to go back to all the things that i have yet to complete for YVIP, for Share-on Team, fitness for marathon and ippt.
Alot of things to update myself on. Not saying its tiring. But i am just feeling really drained.
Carrying a 20 odd kilo bag travelling around Taiwan is not exactly tt tiring. But with the days..
I just felt fatigued. Back in Singapore, been dozing off when i am on the bus.. on the train.. waiting for a friend outside.. etc. u get the idea. haha.
I'm not a good drinker i guess. Went out for class gathering yest with my Uni mates. Went to a pub and drank bit? haha.. i dun rem how much i drank. But i felt the headache after 3 glasses of diluted alcohol. haha.. i suck at this man! But i reframe myself from drinking for just 1 reason. Cause i do not want to follow my ah gong's foot step. Hmm.. yest was just one of those days that i do things without thinking. Everyone enjoyed themselves though. =)
Went to Sharon's place to do the charity status registration today. It was pretty slow because alot of the details of our committee was missing. Hmm.. Share-On Welfare Organization's committee is just so different from that of YVIP? SOWO is pretty much founded and managed by our volunteer leader and now working director Sharon. She is like an iron lady. Doing everything from liaising, talking to family, interviews, planning activities, getting volunteers, etc. she does everything herself. And is totally committed to this organization's goals. Its pretty much a one man show. But she got a small group of committed helpers like kah hui, kee jin, the aunty gang and me to help her throughout the years. Have been helping out over at Woodland for 8 yrs. I am just freaking familiar with the working of that place. But there are just so many many things to learn to build an organization from scratch. Our management gotta change to be less one man show because things get complex from this pt on. Accounts need to be done correctly, plans to be typed out and presented to everyone in a professional manner, benchmarks and yrly goals to hit.. Its suddenly become so much more structured. and it needs to be! haha.. bo bian la!! =) I'm v hopeful that we will settle down soon and start to save and help more ppl. =) JIA YOU ppl! (though i dun think anyone from sowo knows my blog url...)
YVIP is so much more structured than my organization, thats why i felt being in yv com really forced me to learn so many facet of running a camp and a grp of ppl. Its cool. Really appreciate the opportunities that i am getting.
Oh and there is a reason why I tend to be quiet when i am in a meeting. haha.. because i am really not that experience in planning camps. (and yes i am the oldest in the com..) But i won't hesistate to voice out things most of the time if there are things in my head. Most of the time i prefer to listen to u guys, cause usually i think wat u guys say make so much more sense than whats in my mind. Yup =)
The stinct in yv com this year had given me a chance to learn so much more things.
Thanks guys. These skills will be help me improve as a leader in my organization.
Will work on my YV stuff tonight till tml morning. haha.. wanna finish as many as possible before camp starts. So that i can help the tf's plan in camp. So yup won't be resting! Jia you!!
Read hl's blog..
It will emerge after some time.
You will find it somehow. The reason why u are doing what u are doing.
I took a long time finding that out, but i think u are smarter than me and more
blessed than me, will know it soon!! Meanwhile just enjoy whatever u are doing.
I know u are =)
Jia you!
Rem to rest and take ur meals!! =D
My whole brain is pretty much filled with yv stuff, sowo stuff, a girl, fitness-running,
anxiety for my sem's results, worry of finding a job next yr.
Argh, am so rusty in courting a girl and all alr.
But i think buddies who listens to me 'lao dao..' agree that i am the impulsive sort.
And i am the rushy and persistent kind. I can't keep the feelings enclosed for long.
But for once py, they said: "TAKE IT SLOWLY!"
hahaha.. even Guan Ying Ma is nodding.. hahaha..
Will try ya bro(s).. =D
So looking forward to December
It's a pretty long post this one. Took one hour to type it.
But it feels good to spill things out here, sometimes.
Read my july 2006 blog entry b4 typing this entry.
Kinda relieved the times in army again.. The time that i was so distraught due
to the imminent break-up with jas.
Haha.. can't help but felt sorrow for myself at tt pt of my life. Was so 'weak'
during tt period. Won't allow myself to go through this again.
Jia you
Cheers,
py
May god bless the singaporean killed in mumbai.. I personally was shaken.
Rest in eternal peace around god's arms.
14th day in Taiwan
Hey..
Today was kinda a slack day. Filled with travelling from cities.
Traveled on a train from Yilan - JiaoSi. It was a short ride.
Had a meal at Mac(again) before i proceeded on to the public
hot spring. They're having a hot spring festival at JiaoSi today.
It was a one of a kind experience. Naked hot spring it is.
Everyone in the spring is naked. The place was built by the
JiaoSi govenment some years back. It had a good Japanese
hot spring setting. Had a woody feel, and stony feel to the
decoration in the house. Water was reasonably warm, at
42degree celcius. Enjoyed the hot spring and went on to
take a bus back to Taipei. It was a short ride back to Taipei from this place.
After reaching, tried to find a budget hotel. Found one that
we are paying NT300 each. Thought it was a good deal.
But there is no Air-con today.. Cause the owner said today's
weather is unusally cold. haha.. (Excuse!!)
Guang around "Shi-DaYe Shi" just now.. had XXL Chicken Cutlet,
melon juice and the famous porridge!! =D Super filling.
Met again!! The Singaporean that we knew from our trip.
Her name is Ming Huan. V nice lady. V. adventurous too!! =D
What coincidence. 1st thing weida and me were trying to find
when we are back in Taipei was the porridge shop. So we
went to Shi-Da to find, when we finally found it, saw her there!
Shared alot of our encounters and experiences in Taiwan. She went
on the mountainous trip. While weida and me went on the east coast's
sea line with some mountain trip(taroko gorge).
Gotta make a facebook account!! haha..everything is pointing towards
me having one. haha..
Took a train back to Ximending(where our hotel is) and walked
around. Bought a donuts with some donut balls at Dunkin Donuts.
Haven't ate them yet. But it does look great! +D
Tml will be doing some final shopping b4 the end of the trip on Wednesday.
For those ppl back in Singapore, I'm coming back soon!!
Hope to meet u guys up soon! =D
Cheers,
py

Day 8 in Taiwan
Today was a slack-ed day spent in KaoShiong and Taidung..
haha.. Think the trip has took a small dip in energy. Weida and
me are badly in need to recharge our energy. We are so tired.
We just moved from province to province, estate to estate,
alleys to alleys, mountains to hill, hills to land. Haha.. constant
traveling the whole journey so far. End of the day is usually
marked with hotel/hostel finding and then uploading pictures
and videos. Its tiring. But we are thoroughly enjoying the time
that we are spending in Taiwan.
The people here are very nice people. Its almost imposible to be
snubbed by a person on the streets. (Maybe cause i haven't met
the bad sheeps.) Backpacking as it is, Weida and me need to go
around asking for directions and advises. We were never rejected.
The shop assistants let u feel like the shop's ur own playground.
With the familiar "Huan ying guan ling". haha.. (esp. by the sweet
sales lady..) Woot! Love it here.
More about today, we took a train from KaoShiong to Taidung.
Took 3 hrs. B4 that we had breakfast at KaoShiong b4 departing.
Taidung we checked in to the hotel and began exploring the city.
It's on pretty high altitude this city, so yes, it was cold and just
like anywhere else in Taiwan, when the cold wind blows...
I shiver. hahahaha.
Now gotta rest, tml taking a ferry to Green Island for a tour of the
Island. Its a fantastic place i think. Nature lovers will love tt place.
Pictures of my tour can be found here!

Taiwan Trip
Hey!! Have been in Taiwan from 12-11-08 till now.. haha..
Still got about 7 days to go b4 i am back in Singapore. Super look
forward to going back to Singapore. But love the ppl, the culture and
the atmosphere here.. =D
How are ya guys? Really miss my classmates, friends, YV mates and
all the sun in Singapore. Haha.. its chilly everyday here.. haha..
Visited Alishan Yesterday. And its a really, yes, cold place. Up in the
mountains. But the trek into the woods is really simple, and a great
get away from the bustling city life.
I do treasure every step of this journey and so do Weida, my travel mate
this time around. Its pretty fun with him around. As we are really great
complements to each other =D
Here are some photos from the Sunrise of Alishan, and yes,
you can looks at more pictures from another webby.

After exam's first post =D
Yay-ed!!
hahaha..
Exams ended yest!! haha.. (saturday..)
It was a relatively tough paper i suppose.. After exiting from the hall, can
hear many talking about them flunging the paper and not doing well...
I personally felt i did alright.. Hopefully i am right! haha..
Just felt really liberated since i am done with exams at last. This semester
is not an easy one for me. Banged up with insurance work(that i ended my
service with just afew mths ago) and just wasting so much time.. I didn't get
a good head start this sem. But fortunately that was a timely wake up call.
I managed to pick myself up and just kept working at it. COMMERCIAL
LAW was my weakest subjects together with MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANTCY
& BUSINESS. Don't hate them, because they are important knowledge that
i ought to know if i am to do well in the financial world. But am just too behind
time. I bet everyone in
class worked extremely hard for these 2 darn papers. So yup, no regrets ppl!
We did our best! =D Let's await the results on 4th December!
I'll be in YVIP camp, so yup,
hopefully there is internet access there and i can check it, or Yann Liang you've
got to help me check again! haha..
As planned, am going to Taiwan on 12/11/08, which is next Wednesday(1pm) till
26/11/08 also a Wednesday(11pm). haha.. Am busy planning for this trip now.
haha. it's kinda last min.. but alr have a rough idea of the backpacking trip.
I'm just trying to fill in the gaps now.. =P
So yup, jia you jia you!! SOOOOOOOO Looking forward to it luh! hahahahaha
For those back in Singapore working hard on the YVIP pre-camp briefing and also
those studying for A Levels and University Exams, Here's a BIG
JIAYOU!!!!!!!!!
I've prayed for whoever i know tt is who is out there taking exams le. So yup!
God will be with u!! =D Just keep working hard ya!! Never give up!! Rem?!
Cheers,
py
